Sharon Rump

Member of the Sarasota Personal Computer Users Group, Inc.Sharon Rump was born in San Francisco during the war but the family moved back to St. Louis where she grew up and was married. With her husband, Gene, she raised eight children, five boys and three girls, in a combined family. In 1987 her husband had open-heart surgery and they both decided to retire. They moved to FL in 1989.
Nowadays, in addition to the children, there are also eight grandchildren.
Once in Florida Sharon has been active in the community. She was an executive secretary but that was before the computer revolution hit. Sharon got her first computer the early 90?s and it has been a swift love affair ever since. She has become involved in many user groups and enjoys all the new people she has met. She is a member of four user groups, one of which she helped to organize at Oakwood manor where she makes her home. She has also done several presentations for user groups, taught many SIGs for user groups. Her first passion is digital imaging, and she has co-hosted a SIG on Photoshop Elements.
Sharon is the past-president and Webmaster of the VACUG (Venice Area Computer Users Group) and is currently the First Vice President of SPCUG. Sharon was elected to the FACUG (Florida Association of Computer User Groups) Board in 2000 and she is the current Secretary and Webmaster.
Sharon and her husband enjoy sunsets at the beach and traveling both for pleasure and to visit their families. In addition to that, Sharon also enjoys bestseller fiction. She has read most all of the Danielle Steel and John Grisham books. current Secretary and Webmaster.
