SPCUG Members and Non-Members

THERE IS A VERY GOOD PLACE TO DISPOSE OF
YOUR OLD COMPUTER AND COMPUTER ACCESSORIES!

The PC Refurbishing Project needs your old computer to refurbish it and make it available to needy students, individuals and non-profit organizations in the area. We have refurbished and donated over 4000 computers during the last 4 years.

This organization consists of SPCUG members who are dedicated to wiping your old hard drive, installing a licensed and updated copy of the Windows XP Professional operating system and software (or the Mac System X and software), assuring that all installed accessories are working properly, and that the inside and outside of the desk top, tower, or laptop computer is thoroughly cleaned.

WE TAKE DONATIONS OF WINDOWS OR MAC BASED COMPUTERS.

Please make sure that your computer processor is rated at 800 MHz or higher so that it will properly operate our software. If you or anyone you know has replaced an old computer with a new one, we can use Windows or MAC based computer donations. You can drop them off at our workshop located at 3951 Sawyer Road in Sarasota. We are open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
